Studio Opening Times

What are your opening hours?​

Our opening hours are Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 6pm.

 

Tattoos - We are an appointment only studio with the exception to our advertised flash sales, which will be promoted via our social media accounts.

 

Feel free to pop into the studio to discuss designs and appointments with one of our team members.

 

Piercings - All piercings are done on a walk-in basis.

Studio Policy

Sixth Circle strive to provide a clean and well-established studio that caters to all body piercings, tattoos and laser services. 

​

All body piercings are carried out by trained professional in all areas of the body. Our piercers are DBS checked and have trained and qualified in first aid, health and safety, hygiene, needles and infection control. We are a fully licensed and insured studio. Our studio always complies with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, local government bylaws and UK laws and legislations.

If you are lucky enough to look under 25 we will ask to see a copy of your ID for any tattoo appointment. Forms of ID accepted here are: 

- Photo driving licence card

- Passport 

- Military ID 

As well as any cards bearing the pass hologram.

If you are unable to provide proof of ID prior to your appointment, you will be refused service and your booking fee will be held for the time reserved for your appointment. 

​

Any person under the age of 18, may receive a piercing provided that we a presence of a parent or guardian at the time of the piercing. They will need to sign a consent form or be available to speak with prior to the booking. 

 

A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required for all bookings. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or amend an appointment. Failure to give us sufficient notice will result in a loss of your booking fee. Should you be more than 15 minutes late for your appointment , the appointment will need to be rearranged and this will result in the loss of our booking fee. This is due to the artist unable to fill the time allocated for your booking at short notice.

All booking fees and gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable without exception.

​

After booking your tattoo in with the studio, design changes will need to be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. 

​

Tattoo designs will be ready for viewing and editing on the day of your appointment, unless prior agreement has been made. Any words/dates or script is the clients full responsibility to make sure they are correct prior to being tattooed. 

​

All of our artists are self-employed and entirely responsible for managing and monitoring their own diaries, schedules, designs and pricing. 

​

We operate CCTV throughout the studio to offer a safe and protective environment for both clients and team members. 

​

Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Our team members retain the right to refuse service without explanation to any clients. Be Kind, Be Respectful or be Refused! 

​

Sixth Circle will not be held responsible for any reactions from jewellery bought or fitted in the studio for healed piercings. We urge all clients to seek advice from the piercer prior to purchasing any jewellery if concerned about the metal used for customers with sensitive skin. 

​

Medication Policy 

Updated January 2025. 

​

If you are currently taking prescribed medication, undergoing medical treatment, or living with a health condition and have booked (or are planning to book) a tattoo appointment, it is your responsibility to consult with your GP or healthcare provider prior to your appointment. This ensures that receiving a tattoo will not interfere with your health or treatment plan.

​

Please note: Any illness, medical condition, medication, or treatment not disclosed at the time of booking may result in your appointment being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

​

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Prescription medications

  • Recent or upcoming surgeries

  • Ongoing illnesses or infections

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Any underlying or chronic health conditions

​

If you are unsure about how any of the above may affect your suitability for a tattoo, we strongly advise speaking with your GP or healthcare provider before proceeding.

​

We reserve the right to decline or cancel any appointment—quoted or booked, if we believe these conditions have not been met, or if we feel proceeding may compromise your safety or the quality of our work.

Tattoo Frequently asked questions. 

 

​Can I get tattooed if I am under 18 with parental consent?

No — even with parental consent, it’s illegal to tattoo anyone under 18. This is part of the Tattooing of Minors Act (1969). You can read more about it here.

What ID do I need to bring?

Please bring either your passport, driving licence, or a valid Citizen Card — these are the only forms of ID we can accept.

​

Do you offer consultations?

Yes - Our team are always on hand to talk through your tattoo journey from design Ideas, tattoo day and aftercare advice.

​

How do I get a quote and book and appointment?

We understand that people have a busy lifestyle so have a few ways you can get advice, quotes and check availability.

 

1.) Pop into the studio anytime between 11am – 6pm Tuesday – Saturday to speak to one of our team members.

2.) Drop us a message via our social media accounts. Please note to the nature of the job you may not get a response straight away, but we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.

What is your minimum charge? 

  • Residents artists are £60 

  • Junior artist £40 

  • Apprentice £30

Unless stated otherwise with arranged flash/promotional days

How much does a sleeve cost?

It really depends on the style, complexity, and amount of work involved.

 

Once we’ve discussed your design in detail, we’ll give you a rough estimate of the time and cost.

​

All booking fees are 50% paid at the time of booking to secure the artists time. Your booking is not secured until confirmation of your booking fee.

​

What is your cancellation policy? 

A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required for all bookings.

 

A minimum of 7 days' notice is required to cancel or change an appointment.

 

Failure to give sufficient notice will result in a loss of booking fee. Should you be more than 10 mins late to an appointment, the appointment will need to be rearranged and this will also result in the loss of your booking fee. This is due to the artist being unable to fill the time slot at short notice.

Do tattoos hurt?

All tattoos have some level of discomfort, but it depends on the area of the body and your own pain threshold.

 

Some areas hurt more than others — but we’ll always talk you through what to expect.

​

Do you tattoo hands and necks?

Yes — but it’s always up to the artist’s discretion. We’ll have a chat with you first about your ideas.

​

Do you design custom tattoos?

Yes! - Every artist loves to get creative and welcomes the idea of creating unique masterpieces for you to showcase on your body.

 

When thinking of a design please consider as much reference material.

 

The references can be anything from similar designs you like, photos, colours, font styles, and body position.

​

Is everything you use sterile?

Absolutely. We only use the best single-use sterile equipment, and this is purchased gas-sealed and sterilised from a licensed retailer.

 

This means that after each client the equipment is clinically disposed of by our specialist clinical waste company.

​

Do you use Vegan friendly products? 

Yes! Our inks are all Vegan friendly and so is our recommended aftercare product. 

​

Do you give aftercare advice? 

Your artist will explain all the aftercare advice in detail and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

 

We will ask you questions about your job, any hobbies you may have or holidays coming up.

 

This allows us to tailor your aftercare to ensure it is suitable for your circumstances.

 

We follow up with you during the healing process to ensure your aftercare is progressing as we would expect and encourage you get in touch if you have any questions. 

​

You will also be given a leaflet with all aftercare instructions and advice.

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Yes - The studio accepts all major credit and debit cards including American Express. You can also pay via cash or bank transfer.
